HaZimation
HaZimation (Belfast & London, United Kingdom) are an independent studio working between London and Belfast, Pixel Mill. The company was founded by film director/ producer / game designer HaZ Dullul and film industry veteran, producer Paula Crickard whose combined 50 years of experience gives HaZimation a solid commercial foundation. HaZimation operate a hollistic development and agile production approach that spans live action, animation and gaming.
The Studio is built up of a small team of creatives, unreal engine artists & game developers, the team is currently working on various transmedia projects based around their own IP and for several big brand IP.
HaZ Dulull
HaZ Dulull (Belfast & London, United Kingdom) started his career in Video games before moving into Visual Effects where he was nominated for several VES awards for his VFX Supervision work, leading to him transition to Directing & Producing with his breakout indie sci-fi feature film THE BEYOND, as well as his second feature film - 2036 Origin Unknown, starring Katee Sackhoff. Both features were on Netflix. He also directed and Exec produced the Disney+ series FAST LAYNE. HaZ is currently directing the game cinematics for DUNE: Awakening. He is also the co-founder of HaZimation, alongside Paula Crickard, producing original IP in Film, Series and games.
Paula Crickard
Paula Crickard (Belfast, United Kingdom) has worked in the film industry for almost 30 years, debuting as award winning documentary director in 1994 with Northern Visions in Belfast. Her career has spanned a variety of roles for multi award winning companies such as Killer Films in NYC, Elle Driver & Wild Bunch in Paris and Millennium Media in LA.
Paula spent several years as head of production at Finite Films and TV developing and producing live action and animation, earning a BIFA nomination as breakthrough producer along the way. She has also worked across multiple genres as a producer and post-production supervisor on over 45 feature drama and documentaries, ranging in budget from indie smash hit The Beyond with HaZ Dulull to globally renowned films such as. Terry Gilliam's The Man who Killed Don Quixote and action franchise The Expend4bles.
Paula is co-founder of HaZimation, a live action, animation and gaming company formed with director HaZ Dulull. HaZimation are currently in pre production with their second feature animation based on the game Mutant Year Zero.
